Mark Williams, Chairman Emeritus

Current Chairman of the Board, Mark Williams, has been named Chairman Emeritus. Williams will continue to serve as an active director, offering the Board the benefit of his extensive experience and long-standing leadership. His steady guidance has been instrumental during critical periods in the bank’s history, and we look forward to his continued involvement as FCB enters its next chapter of growth.

Mark was one of six founders of First Commercial Bank and has served on the Board since its inception. He became Chairman in 1994, a role he held until December 2025. He also holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a retired manufacturing engineer. Mark has been actively involved in civic and community service, including serving as past president of the Rotary Club of Seguin, Treasurer of the Heritage Museum and a member of the Seguin City Council. He and his wife, Linda reside in McQueeney.

Mark Long, Chairman

Mark Long joined the Board in 2004 and was named Executive/Working Chairman in January 2026. Mark served as President and CEO for more than twenty-three years, developing a board of directors and strong management team capable of growing the bank from two locations and $126MM in total assets to seven locations and $530MM in total assets.  Mark has degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration, as well as over 40 years of experience in community bank management.

He is Past Chair of the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce, an active member and Past President of the Seguin Rotary Club, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Braunfels Community Foundation, the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and the McCoy College Center for Banking and Financial Services Advisory Council.  In addition, he has served on the Texas Bankers Association Board, the American Bankers Association's Community Bankers Council and the Texas State Business School Advisory Boards. He and his wife Jamie live in McQueeney.

James Long, Director

James Long joined the First Commercial Bank Board of Directors in June 2025. His banking career began in 2000 as an intern at First State Bank, where he quickly advanced through the organization. He went on to serve for several years as a commercial loan officer before ultimately becoming Regional President for Prosperity Bank before joining FCB. 

James became part of the FCB team in March 2025, was named President in June 2025 and was appointed CEO in January 2026. His current and past community involvement includes service on the Texas State University Leadership Council, the Comal County Investment Committee, the Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels, Communities in Schools, the Comal County Appraisal District Board, and the Greater New Braunfels Homebuilders Association.

With a deep understanding of community banking and a strong commitment to customer service, James is well positioned to strengthen the bank’s dedication to its customers and the communities it serves. He and his wife, Erica, along with their son, Landon, and daughter, Hadley, reside in New Braunfels.

Jeff Albrecht, Director

Jeff Albrecht has served on the Board since 2007. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He has held leadership roles with the Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels and the Wurstfest Association, and has served on the boards of the New Braunfels Community Foundation and the McKenna Foundation. Jeff is a graduate of the Leadership New Braunfels program and is currently a trustee of the Wurstfest Association Scholarship Trust. He is an active member of First Protestant Church and resides in New Braunfels with his wife, Tammy.

Hal Holtman, Director

Hal Holtman joined the First Commercial Bank Board of Directors in December 2014. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and has practiced public accounting since 1976. He started his own business, Holtman & Company, in 1982 which is now Holtman & Company LLC. Hal has served on several non-profit boards in the local area including McKenna Health System, Resolute, Connections, New Braunfels Noon Lions Club and New Braunfels ISD Education Foundation. He previously served on the Board of Directors of First State Bank, New Braunfels. Hal and his wife Karen currently live in New Braunfels.

Doug Miller, Director

Doug Miller joined the First Commercial bank Board of Directors in November 2014. He is a former State Representative from District 73, which is comprised of Comal, Gillespie, and Kendall Counties. Doug holds the rank of Major in the Texas State Guard and has also served as President of Miller & Miller Insurance Agency for over 30 years. Doug is the former Mayor of New Braunfels, as well as former Chair of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors. He has served on several non-profit boards in the local area including the New Braunfels Jaycees, Wurstfest, the Comal County Fair Association, the Comal County United Way, the New Braunfels ISD Education Foundation and the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce. He previously served on the Board of Directors of First State Bank, New Braunfels. Doug is married to the former Anne Mund and currently lives in New Braunfels.

Al Steinle, Director

Al Steinle joined the Board of Directors in 2016. He served on the Board of Directors of the Jourdanton State Bank for 33 years. He is a member of the Jourdanton Rotary Club where he served as Treasurer for 25 years. He is the President of the Atascosa Hospital Association and the Jourdanton Industrial Foundation. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and St. Mary's Law School in San Antonio and is a retired attorney after practicing for over 50 years in Jourdanton, TX. Al and his wife Deana live in Jourdanton.

Shane Sillivent, Director

Shane Sillivent joined the Board of Directors in 2016. He graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Shane has been advising clients in South Texas on oil and gas and real estate matters since 2011. He currently serves as Executive Board Member of the Atascosa County Economic Development Corporation.

 

Barry Williams, Director

Barry Williams was elected to the Board of Directors in 2024. Williams has worked in various roles in the banking industry and has also served on several state and national boards. He is a graduate of Texas State University, as well as The LSU School of Banking. He currently serves on the board of the New Braunfels Community Foundation and St. Paul Lutheran Church Foundation. Williams maintains membership as a Senior Rotarian, Senior Opa for Wurstfest and is a life member and Senior Blue Coat with the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce.

John Ewald, Director

John Ewald was elected to the Board of Directors in 2025. Ewald is the President and Owner of Ewald Kubota, a company founded by John’s grandfather in 1948. The company, originally named Ewald Tractor Company, has been family-owned and operated ever since.

John has been a long-time, valued customer and continues to maintain a strong relationship with FCB. John and his wife, Erin, live in New Braunfels with their daughters.
